While creating this butterfly terrarium, the children engaged in touching and feeling nature such as sand, pebbles and seeds. In participating in this activity, they bonded with nature which helps in their social and emotional development. While creating the terrarium they also used their imagination to embellish and accessories the Terrarium, which served as an enhancement of their imagination and creativity. The two foundations of HDLH that it served are : Engagement and Expression. Materials required for this activity were: plastic mason-style jar, decorative lid, potting mix, organic chia and wheat grass seeds, butterfly craft accessories and a plant mister to keep butterfly terrarium watered, spoon
